U-Lock Holsters

Totes lame or totes awesome?

I for one, have never really found it all that comfortable to rock the u-lock in the back pocket. But I also try and avoid giving anyone the opportunity to stereotype me... So yeah, the U-lock holsters look sort of dumb... Some look more slick than others, though.

I guess the answer is sometimes dependent on if you're wearing skinny jeans or not. I don't think these look great with most knickers though... Either way, they obviously serve some practical functions. Also, you could probably make you're own which would of course be sweet. I mean, how could I hate on a custom u-lock holster someone made. Then again...

First Post

So I've had this blogging thing sitting in the back of my mind for a while and I thought I would just go ahead and do one to see if I liked the way blogspot felt. So here it is.

Don't know where to start really, so I'll just post about a few different bikes. I'm sad that I had to sell a lot of my bikes, so this is a good way of letting go...

This was a fun bike to build and I had no trouble selling it on cl for a decent price. I had most of these parts sitting around for over a year. I found some yellow ritchey bar tape on sale at grand performance for six bucks and then I found the saddle at sibley and traded some volunteer hours for it. Then I saw Peacock Groove's Kill Bill Bike... Sort of inspired me to throw together something of the yellow/black persuasion.

In case you don't know:

I imagine there'll be plenty more posts drooling over peacock groove bikes but here's another yellow bike... since we're on the subject:

It's yellow but it's also lugged... And yeah, I didn't end up using the crankset you see in the picture above it. I ended using the original set it came with and even though it's all shined up with everything else, it doesn't look too cool. But this made an awesome bike for someone for only like 100 bucks. [I also added a link to the chain so that it wasn't so close to the end of the drop outs] but those are boring details... so here is something fun:

Yeah it's not ridable and it has all returned to random pieces now, but this was sort of an "in theory" bike... And now I have the pieces to get it together, so maybe I'll finish it up and get it rollin' some time soon. So yeah, this is my first post.

Thanks
